Three-year letter winner • provides depth at both midfield and on the forward line • missed the second half of the 2010 campaign after suffering a knee injury • a Rising Star in the Carolina Leadership Academy Program.

Junior Season (2011)

Saw action in one game as a junior, playing 11 minutes against Houston • named to the 2012 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Sophomore Season (2010)

Played in three games for the Tar Heels before her season-ending injury • saw 56 minutes of action, including a season high 30 versus Middle Tennessee • in her first career action she tallied a goal on a long strike against Missouri on August 29 in UNC's 6-1 win over the Tigers • added an assist in UNC's 7-2 victory over Tennessee six days later.

Freshman Year (2009)

Earned the first of her three letters.

Played her club soccer with the 90 CASL Spartan Elite from 1999-2009 • member of N.C. ODP team from 2005-08 • served as captain of Spartan Elite team for four years • had her most success in club soccer from 2005 to 2007 • chosen to attend Super Y national camp in Cocoa Beach, Fla., in 2006 • member of 2005 Super Y National Team • in 2007 her team won the Region III Premier League, Super Y League South Atlantic and were semifinalists in the Southern Regionals.

Prep

Graduated from Broughton High School on June 11, 2009 • played four years of varsity soccer in high school • as a senior she was the team captain while being named to the All-Conference, All-Region and All-State Teams • was a member of the East-West All-Star Team and Clash of the Carolinas All-Star Team • led her conference and ranked second in the state in scoring • was also named All-Conference, All-Region and All-State as a junior • named All-Conference and All-Region as a sophomore • as a freshman she led Broughton team to state championship and a No. 1 national ranking while being named All-Conference and All-Region • had highest score nationally on National Spanish exam • member of service club, Broughton Young Life and FCA • served as boys soccer manager during the fall season.

Elizabeth Barkley Minton is the daughter of Wes and Gina Minton • was born January 15, 1991 in Raleigh, N.C. • communication studies major • volunteers at UNC Children's Hospital • her parents and her older brother are all UNC grads • her father played golf for the Tar Heels.

Section #1: Soccer

1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel soccer player is being a part of the best college program in the nation.

2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach Dorrance is his honesty.

3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is my fitness.

4. My best friend on another college soccer team is Meagan Proper at NC State.

5. My greatest strengths as a soccer player are my technical abilities.

1. Away from the soccer field and academic pursuits I like to spend time hanging out with my friends, traveling with my family, watching movies and sleeping.

2. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be tennis.

3. The music acts I'd most like to see in person are Celine Dion or Katy Perry.

Section #3: Food & Beverage

1. After a game at Fetzer Field, I'd like to see a buffet spread at McCaskill that included light purple Gatorade, Chik-fil-A nuggets, fruit, and cookies.

2. My favorite beverage is Gatorade.

3. My favorite food made by a relative is Gran's Macaroni and Cheese and Grandma Minton's Chicken and Dumplings.

4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is Armadillo Grill.

5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is chocolate, preferably brownies or chocolate chip cookies.

Section #4: Personality

1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I'd like to go to the week we won the national championship in 2009, and relive every moment.

2. My most prized personal possessions are my Bible and notes written from my grandparents.

3. If I could go to dinner with a famous person it would be Jesus or Sandra Bullock.

4. My dream job is to be an ESPN analyst

5. The most interesting people I've met at UNC are Jeffrey Schoettmer and Casey Barth.
