General--Member of the U.S. Under-21 National Team which won the 2005 Nordic Cup championship in Sweden...three-year returning letter winner for the Tar Heels who started in the defense as a sophomore and junior... won the Carolina team's award as the best off-season weightlifter in 2003...also played four years of AAU basketball.
National Team--Member of the U.S. Under-19 National Team from in 2001 and 2002... started with former Tar Heel Amy Steadman on the back line of the U.S. Under-19 National Team in 2002 when it won the World Championship...followed that up by playing with the Under-21 National Team that won gold at the 2005 Nordic Cup.
Club Soccer -- Member of state ODP team from 1997-2002...ODP region team selection in 2000-01...played for several different club teams...competed for the CASL Spartan Stars in 1997-98, the CASL Spartan Vipers in 1999 and the GYSA Twisters Green in 2000-01...played twice on club teams which won State Cup championships.
2004 Season -- Started all 23 games for the Tar Heels...named second-team All-Southeast Region by Soccer Buzz and third-team All-Region by the NSCAA...finished the season with three goals and five assists for a total of 11 points...scored the game-winning goal against Furman...also notched goals in the games against Mississippi State and Virginia Tech...had an assist in the Tar Heel victories over No. 11 Duke, No. 14 Florida, No. 24 Clemson, Virginia Tech and William & Mary...made the Dean's List in spring semester 2005...also tapped for 2005 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2003 Season--Played in 25 games for the Tar Heels as a sophomore and started 18 times in the defensive flat back three...was a proven scorer for UNC with four goals and seven assists...scored the game-winning goal for UNC in the NCAA semifinal victory over UCLA...also had a goal and an assist in the regular-season win against the Bruins...had the game-tying goal in the ACC Tournament championship match versus Florida State...assisted on the game-winning goal against Washington State.
2002 Season--Overcame some early season illness problems to play in 19 matches...started against Duke and Wake Forest...had a goal in the win over Washington and an assist versus Florida State.
Prep-- One of the top recruits in the country coming out of high school in 2001...was ranked as the nation's sixth best high school senior that year by Soccer America...graduated May 29, 2002 from Apex High School...a Parade and NSCAA High School All-America selection...a great all-around athlete there...played center midfield for the soccer team for four years along playing with two years of varsity basketball as a point guard...2002 Gatorade Player of the Year in North Carolina for girls soccer...also named All-State in 2001 as well as All-conference and All-region in 2001 and 2002...member of Student Honor Roll, National Honor Society, French Club and Student Council.
