A newcomer program who enrolled in the Master's of Accounting program in the Kenan-Flagler Business School in May • graduated last spring from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.
Senior Season (2011)
Named Pacific West Conference Player of the Year and first-team All-PacWest • played in 13 games, scoring nine goals and adding six assists for 24 points.
Junior Season (2010)
Named Pacific West Conference Player of the Year and first-team All-PacWest • selected to NSCAA Women's Division II All-West Region first team • scored a national single-game high and PacWest record five goals vs. Academy of Art on September 18 and was named PacWest Player of the Week • tied for conference lead in goals and points, tied for fourth in game-winning goals and was fifth in assists.

In 2011, she was a starter in offensive midfield for Serbian National Team in the qualifier round for the 2013 UEFA Women's European Championship in Sweden • has played for the "A" national team in her native Serbia since October 29, 2005 • has played in 20 international games for Serbia as well as three qualification rounds for European Championship and one qualification round for World Cup • regularly starts for Serbian National Team as midfielder or wing player • competed for ZFK Sloga Women's Football Club in Belgrade, Serbia from September 2003-August 2007 • played in 60 games as a starting midfielder for them, scoring 30 goals • was captain of team in 2006-07 and team MVP in 2007 • competed for FK Radnicki Men's Football Club in Sabac, Serbia from August 1998-September 2003 • played 50 games for the as the only female player on the team and in the region • captain from 2001-03 and was 10-time named club team's player of the game.

Graduated from business school at Nada Dimic in Zemun, Belgrade, Serbia • Serbian high schools do not sponsor athletic programs so she played only club soccer • earned her diploma in financial accounting.

Marina Nesic is the daughter of Zoran and Mirjana Nesic • was born June 1, 1988 in Sabac, Serbia • won Serbian National Taekwondo championship in 1997 • enrolled in master's of accounting program.

Section #1: Soccer
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel soccer player is an opportunity to be part of the most successful women's soccer program in the country. That says it all!
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach Dorrance is his continuous drive to make us better soccer players but more importantly, better people.
3. Since last year the aspects of my training I've worked on the most are my fitness and defensive aspects of my game.
4. My best friend on another college soccer team is Karley Nelson, assistant coach at Iowa Western Community College
5. My greatest strength as a soccer player is my passion for the game and ability to shoot with both feet.
Section #2: Interests
1. Away from the soccer field and academic pursuits I like to spend time with my family, my boyfriend, and friends. I also spend time watching soccer games and tennis matches.
2.The best movie I've seen recently is Seven Pounds.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be tennis.
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is Usher.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is fishing.
Section #3: Food & Beverage
1. After a game at Fetzer Field, I'd like to see a buffet spread at McCaskill that included In-and-Out double cheeseburgers with animal fries and Coke.
2. My favorite beverage is Coke.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is Serbian food made by my mom called sarma, or stuffed cabbage rolls when translated in English.
4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is Armadillo Grill.
5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise are Twix and gummie peaches.
Section #4: Personality
1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I'd like to go to May 28, 2011 in London, England, at Wembley stadium, and watch UEFA Championship League final match between Barcelona and Manchester United.
2. My most prized personal possession is my boyfriend.
3. If I could go to dinner with a famous person it would be Novak Djokovic.
4. My dream job is being a college or professional women's soccer coach.
5. The most interesting person I've met at UNC is Anson Dorrance.
