Played in 17 matches overall, starting 16 times and playing 810 minutes • has a 0.56 goals against average, .688 save percentage and 8-0 goalkeeper record • played the first half of each of the first five games of the season, recording the goalkeeping win in three matches • missed two matches due to injury but returned to lineup against Arkansas • had best game of season at Louisville, playing the first half in 3-0 win • made season-high three saves including a penalty kick in the 20th minute of match against the Cardinals • played complete game in win at Miami • played the second half of Carolina’s NCAA first round win over Belmont.

Competed for CASL ECNL from 2015-17 leading team to 2015-16 U15 Chesapeake Conference championship • played for U19 NC Courage Academy from 2017-19 • ended 2017-18 season ranked #2 in country with 16 goals against and 11 shutouts • helped club team capture 2017-18 East Conference championship.

Full name is Marzia Ashley Josephson • goes by Marz • stands 5-7 tall • daughter of Jamie and David Josephson • has two siblings – Alan (16) and Connor (13) • was born in January 2001 in Orlando, Fla. • exercise and sport science major • named one of Cary Magazine’s Notable Teens for 2019 • enters UNC with over 30 credit hours • graduated as high school valedictorian after making straight As all through middle and high school • has also coached youth soccer • was assistant coach for NCFC 07 Storm for 2019 spring season • ended season as division runnersup and champions of Myrtle Beach Classic • volunteer coach for NCFC Elite Technqiue GK • holds a second degree black belt in Taekwondo which she achieved at age six • likes to draw in her free time.
