- Has one older brother Scotty Thurman Jr. and two nephews, Roman and Isaiah
- Father Scotty played basketball at Arkansas from 1992-95, leading the Razorbacks to the 1994 National Championship title and hitting the game-winning shot over Duke. He is the only player in Arkansas basketball history to be named to the All-SEC first team three times
- Brother Scotty Thurman Jr. was a defensive back on the Arkansas football team from 2012-2014. He is currently the Director of Compliance in the athletic department at Arkansas
