Heather Holt returned to her alma mater and joined the Carolina football staff in March of 2022 as the administrative assistant for football operations. Holt was promoted in 2024 to the Coordinator of Football Operations. She works with the operations staff on daily office tasks, assists coaches with clinics and camps, and collaborates with all departments regarding special projects.

Before returning to Carolina, Holt worked as a high school English teacher at Southern Alamance High School, where she spent a few years coaching cheerleading and serving as the NCHSAA Piedmont Student-Athlete Summer Institute co-director. In this role, she had the opportunity to coordinate, organize, and plan summer leadership camps for high school athletes from 31 of NC’s counties held at Elon University in Burlington, N.C.

Holt worked in the football office as a student for four seasons while earning her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She earned her BA in Sports Administration and English in 2007, followed by her Master of Arts in Teaching in 2008.
