11 Home Games Highlight Non-Conference Schedule

CHAPEL HILL - The North Carolina women's basketball team will play 11 home games and two more in Myrtle Beach during the non-conference portion of its 2017-18 schedule.
The Tar Heels open the season against Hampton on Friday, Nov. 10 and then face Colorado of the Big XII on Sunday in one of the premier matchups of the non-league season.
The home stand continues with games against Radford (Nov. 16), South Alabama (Nov. 19), UNCW (Nov. 22) and Minnesota on Nov. 29 in the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The month of December begins with a flurry of four games in nine days against Hartford (Dec. 1), Appalachian State (Dec. 3), Presbyterian (Dec. 5) and Furman (Dec. 10).
Carolina will make its routine trip before Christmas to take part in the Crescom Bank Holiday Invitational at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. This season's opponents feature Washington of the Pac-12 on Dec. 17 and Grambling State on Dec. 19.
The calendar year closes out with Mercer on Dec. 28 inside Carmichael Arena.Â
UNC will host exhibition games with Wingate (Nov. 1) and Mount Olive (Nov. 6).Â
The Atlantic Coast Conference schedule features home-and-home games with Duke and NC State; home games against Clemson, Louisville, Miami, Pitt, Syracuse and Virginia Tech; and road dates at Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Virginia and Wake Forest.
