Four Corners: Summer School Comes To An End

CHAPEL HILL—The second session of summer school at the University of North Carolina has come to a close, and Tar Heel basketball players have headed home for a few weeks until returning to campus for the fall semester later this month.

1. NEWS & NOTES
• The Smith Center is closed until August 27 and the Carolina Basketball Museum is closed for renovations until Sept. 4.
• New Tar Heel graduate transfer Cameron Johnson is loving life in Chapel Hill, Adam Lucas writes.

• Former Tar Heel guard Marcus Paige spent last year in the NBA G League with the Utah Jazz's affiliate but signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets this week for the 2017-18 campaign. A new NBA rule this season allows each team to have a pair of two-way contract players who can split time between the G League and the NBA itself. Paige will spend part of the season close to Chapel Hill with the Greensboro Swarm in addition to in Charlotte with the Hornets.
• Isaiah Hicks also signed with the Hornets on Wednesday.
• A Sacramento Kings-related website predicts what to expect from former Justin Jackson this season as an NBA rookie.
