Carolina Releases 2017-18 Schedule

CHAPEL HILL - Home games with Duke, Louisville, NC State and Syracuse highlight a competitive 2017-18 schedule for the University of North Carolina women's basketball team.
Carolina will play 19 home games this upcoming season, split between eight Atlantic Coast Conference contests and 11 non-league matchups.
The month of January features ACC games in Chapel Hill against Pitt (Jan. 7) and Clemson (Jan. 11) to start and then back-to-back games inside Carmichael Arena against rivals NC State (Jan. 18) and Duke (Jan. 21).
The February quartet of home games include Miami (Feb. 4), Virginia Tech (Feb. 7), Louisville (Feb. 18) and Senior Night will take place against Syracuse on Feb. 22.
The Tar Heels' conference schedule begins on New Years Eve at Florida State (Dec. 31), marking the first time the program has played an ACC game in December since 2012.
The remainder of the conference road dates include Boston College (Jan. 4), Wake Forest (Jan. 14), Virginia (Jan. 25), Notre Dame (Feb. 1), NC State (Feb. 11), Georgia Tech (Feb. 15) and the regular-season finale at Duke on Feb. 25.
Carolina is slated for five over-the-air televised games on the Regional Sports Network, while approximately 22 other games will be streamed on ACC Network Extra and the WatchESPN app.
UNC opens the season with 10-straight home games, beginning with Hampton on Friday, Nov. 10 and Colorado of the Big XII on Nov. 12 in one of the premier matchups of the non-league season.
Included among the home stand is the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge matchup that pits Carolina against Minnesota on Wednesday, Nov. 29.
Carolina will make its routine trip before Christmas to take part in the Crescom Bank Holiday Invitational at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. This season's opponents feature Washington of the Pac-12 on Dec. 17 and Grambling State on Dec. 19.
UNC will host exhibition games with Wingate (Nov. 1) and Mount Olive (Nov. 6).
