Bailey Continues To Dominate Weekly ACC Rookie Award

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina freshman forward Janelle Bailey is the ACC Rookie of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon by the conference office and voted upon by the Blue Ribbon Panel.
Bailey averaged 18.5 points and 12.0 rebounds last week, registering double-doubles against a pair of top-25 teams. Bailey scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against RV/24 Syracuse and had 12 points and another 12 rebounds at No. 20/16 Duke.
Bailey has recorded a double-double in six of the last eight games. This is her seventh ACC Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
Carolina faces Boston College in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum.
