Carolina Adds Kennedy Boyd For 2018-19 Season

CHAPEL HILL - The North Carolina women's basketball team is adding Kennedy Boyd to its roster for the upcoming 2018-19 season, announced Thursday by head coach Sylvia Hatchell.
Boyd, from Mint Hill, North Carolina, is a former high school teammate of 2018 ACC Freshman of the Year Janelle Bailey at Providence Day School. Boyd is a three-star rated guard by ESPN that was named the 2018 CISAA Player of the Year.
Boyd led the Chargers to a 24-7 record, an appearance in the state semifinals and shared the CISAA conference championship. She repeated on the N.C. Independent Schools all-state team after averaging 20.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.6 assists per game.
