Women's Hoops Faces Georgia Southern On Tuesday

North Carolina will be looking to make quick work of visiting Georgia Southern on Tuesday.
Nikki Teasley scored 15 of her 24 points in the second half as the No. 11 Tar Heels defeated host Richmond, 106-80, Sunday to take the consolation game of the Wachovia Women's Invitational.
The game was tied at 50 at halftime, but the Tar Heels (5-2) hit 20-of-36 field goals in the second half, including going on a 21-5 run which gave them a commanding lead with 12:15 remaining.
Richmond could get no closer than 13 the rest of the game.
In addition to Teasley's 24, LaQuanda Barksdale had 21 points, Jennifer Thomas 18 and Leah Sharp 15.
Georgia Southern (1-4) surrendered a 15-point halftime lead to non-conference foe Mercer in a 74-67 loss on Wednesday at Hanner Fieldhouse.
Leading 34-19 lead at the break, Georgia Southern didn't score its first points of the second half until the 15:05 mark. By that time, Mercer was already in the midst of a 10-0 run that cut the deficit to 34-31. Georgia Southern never recovered, falling behind by as many as eight points late in the second half.
Alie Rousseau and Tondra Warren scored 12 points apiece. Warren added a team-high eight rebounds.
