The University of North Carolina has sold more than 32,000 football season tickets in just over a month and the remaining 2,500 tickets should sell out soon, says Daren Lucas, UNC Ticket Manager.
"We have had tremendous interest in season tickets once again," says Lucas. "We want to encourage people who want to purchase season tickets to call the ticket office soon because they will not be available as long as people might think. We are still almost three months from the start of the season, but at the rate people are calling us, tickets won't be available at that time."
Season tickets are $142. They went on sale May 1st to the general public and to Educational Foundation members.
The ticket package includes games against Virginia (Sept. 4, Noon), Florida State (Sept. 25, 3:30 p.m.), Houston (Oct. 16, Youth Day, NCHSAA Day and Varsity Monogram Day), Furman (Oct. 30, Parents Weekend), Wake Forest (Nov. 6, Homecoming) and Duke (Nov. 20, Rams Day).
Tickets are also available for the Thursday, November 11 game between the Tar Heels and NC State. The game will be played in Ericsson Stadium in Charlotte. Tickets are $30. The UNC athletic ticket office phone numbers is 1-800-722-HEEL.
