Three Women's Lacrosse Players Named to 1999 All-ACC Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Three members of the seventh-ranked North Carolina women's lacrosse team were named Tuesday to the 1999 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Team.
The Tar Heels are represented on this year's 12-person team by senior defender Brooke Crawford of Malvern, Pa., junior midfielder Meghann Mohler of Baltimore, Md., and junior midfielder Gray MacNair of Chevy Chase, Md.
Carolina's best defensive player, Crawford was named to the All-ACC Team for the second time in her UNC career. She was also named to the team in 1997. She has started all 13 games for the Tar Heels this season and is among the team leaders in both ground balls with 23, while leading the team with 17 caused turnovers.
MacNair was named to the All-ACC Team for the second successive year. She had started all 13 games for the Tar Heels this year and is the team's fifth-leading scorer with 20 points on 17 goals and three assists. She is among the team leaders in draw controls with 23 and ground balls with 24.
Mohler, selected to the All-ACC Team for the first time, leads the Tar Heels in scoring this year with 36 points and in draw controls with 37. She has scored 21 goals and has 15 assists this season. She is second on the team in ground balls with 30.
UNC is 7-6 overall and ranked #7 in the country. The Tar Heels will play their final regular-season game this Thursday when they play host to #9 Dartmouth at 3 p.m. at Francis E. Henry Stadium.
