CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - University of North Carolina men's tennis players Assaf Drori and Bjorn Rencken earned top honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference Friday afternoon. Drori, a junior from Jerusalem, Israel, was named to the 12-man 1999 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Tennis Team, while Recken, a freshman from Durban, South Africa, was named the 1999 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Year.

He posted an ACC mark of 7-3 and was 16-5 in matches against opponents from Region II of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Drori played most of his dual matches at the #2 spot where he was 7-5 this year and at the #3 spot where he was 4-0.
