Chris Carrieri Earns ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- North Carolina's Chris Carrieri earned Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of Week recognition after tallying three goals on the week to lead the Tar Heels to their third straight win and a 6-0-2 mark in their last eight games.
The freshman forward from Stafford, Va., scored both of UNC's goals in Sunday's 2-1 defeat of No. 19-ranked Wake Forest. Earlier in the week, he contributed a goal in the team's 4-2 win over Davidson. Carrieri leads the Tar Heels in scoring with a team-high 13 goals and two assists for 28 points.
