Tar Heels Split Roster For Blue-White Game

CHAPEL HILL --- University of North Carolina quarterback Ronald Curry and running backs Rufus Brown and Deon Dyer lead the "White" team against starting linebackers Brandon Spoon, Sedrick Hodge and Merceda Perry, who will play for the "Blue" team in Saturday's annual Blue-White Game.
Head coach Carl Torbush's staff "drafted" teams to square off against each other in Saturday's scrimmage. The game will kickoff at 2 p.m. and end at 3 p.m. The teams will be led by honorary coaches and former Tar Heel players Ernie Williamson and Paige Graham.
The "Blue" offense will be directed by red-shirt freshman quarterback Luke Huard, who is joined by running backs Anthony Saunders and Ronnie Robinson and receivers Greg Harris, Chesley Borders and Dauntae' Finger. They will go against a "White" defense led by defensive tackle Ryan Sims, safeties Antwon Black and Billy Dee-Greenwood and cornerback Errol Hood.
Fans may enter the stadium beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Gate Six (6), which is located directly behind the press box next to the Student Health Center. Parking is available at the Craige Parking Deck on Manning Drive and the Dean E. Smith Center on Bowles Drive.
Admission to the game is free. However, canned goods will be collected at the gate by athletic department volunteers and Volunteers for Youth, an agency of the United Way. The canned goods are being collected for the North Carolina Food Bank.
Fans will also have a chance to win season tickets. Players and coaches will be available for autographs on the field following the game.
