Men's Tennis Swept by No. 27 VCU

RICHMOND, VA. - The 47th-ranked University of North Carolina men's tennis team was swept Tuesday afternoon by 27th-ranked Virginia Commonwealth 6-0 at the Thalhimer Tennis Center on the VCU campus in Richmond. Carolina fell to 5-2 on the season with the loss to the Rams. The Rams won their ninth straight match of the season without a loss.
The Rams easily won all three doubles matches easily and then swept the #1 through the #5 singles matches in straight sets. The #6 singles match was called without a final result.
The Tar Heels will play again this Saturday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, playing William & Mary at 10 a.m. and UNC-Asheville at 4 p.m.
