"It's real hard, now. In the last four weeks we've been in a situation to win the game, but we just haven't made the plays.
"The trick plays didn't surprise me. They're part of the game.
"We (the defense) dominated up front most of the game. I think we played well.
"It's frustrating when you play your heart out, but things don't go your way."
"We didn't execute third-down plays well in the second half. It's frustrating to get in the red-zone and not score.
"I just try to focus on the next play, play hard, knock guys on their backs.
"It won't be hard for me to keep going. I'm not going to sit here and talk about games getting away. I've done that enough the last couple of weeks.
"We have a lot of good players on our team, but right now we're not showing that we are a good team. That's disturbing to me."
"Going into the game, we thought we had a chance to go deep, but as the game started our running game was working.
"As far as toward the end of the game, when we tried to go deep it kind of hurt us that we didn't go deep early, because our timing was a little off.
"They played mainly a zone on pass defense. They weren't doing anything out of the ordinary."
"There was very little talking in the locker room (after the game). It's really depressing. That's about it."
"Virginia's defense doesn't take gambles. They'll give you the short stuff.
"This (Virginia) is my home state, but Charlottesville isn't my home town. Hampton is. The boos weren't quite as bad as my freshman year.
"The interception in the end zone was just a bad throw. I think if the ball was a little bit outside it could have been a touchdown. I let the ball hang in the air a little too long. I put the ball in an area where the defense could make a play on it."
