"It was a great win, it was great to finish the season with three wins in a row.
"I feel for Duke. I've been there, this football team's been there. It was a nightmare for them because we didn't make many mistakes the first half.
"We threw it well, we caught it well, we ran it well, we made some big plays defensively. We did everything you can possible do to dominate a football team that first half.
"Carl Franks has done a good job with a young football team. They can only get better.
"Duke stunted almost every snap, and I don't think they had any sacks. When they don't have any sacks and they're bringing about seven or eight guys, you've got to feel good about your protection.
"Our defense played well today, except for that 70-yard run, which I think got our defense's attention. We put a lot of pressure on their quarterback and made him make some bad decisions.
"The only disappointing thing was the number of penalties we had.
"We had a great week of practice. That doesn't always mean you'll have a good game, but it did this week.
"Ronald (Curry) showed today that he is healthy again. The wind wasn't blowing today, so we had no excuses. He threw the ball well, the receivers caught it well. He showed some athleticism and speed that we hadn't seen the last couple of weeks. He also made some good decisions.
"The running backs ran well. I thought everybody did well. We did a lot good things offensively and defensively, other than their one long run.
"I'm not embarrassed to say that I think this team deserves a bowl. We had an opportunity to fold earlier in the year, but we came back and made a great deal of improvement. It was a dominating performance today."
On what will happen over the next couple of days:
"I feel sure there'll be some discussion, probably tomorrow, maybe Monday.
"I'm sure we'll have some discussion.
"This football game today was for the players, not me.
"I'd like to think (the decision) hasn't been made yet."
Will Peppers come back next season?
"(Laughing) He better. If he's smart he will.
"We've talked a little bit about that. He's not ready for that (the NFL) yet.
"He's real, real good, but you've got players up there about 350 pounds and 28 years old, who can bench press about 500 pounds. They can also hold pretty well.
"I feel like he'll be back. He's basically said he'll be back, but I'm not going to speak for him.
"He needs to be back for his education, because he's on schedule to graduate on time."
On what you will say to Baddour and Chancellor Moeser:
"I haven't really thought about that. I try to be realistic and sensible
and understanding. There's no question we need to win more than
six games at Carolina.
"We've got really good young players. We've had great recruiting years three years in a row. I feel like we have an excellent coaching staff. I do feel like there are a lot of positives out there.
"What somebody else can control, I can't do anything about."
