CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - University of North Carolina Men's Tennis Coach Sam Paul has announced the signings of two top American tennis players to national letters of intent.
Jonathan Janda, a native of Shelby, N.C., was ranked among the top 25 in the USTA Boys' 16's national rankings and is the top rated player from the state of North Carolina. Janda trains at the Tough Tennis Academy in Naples, FL.
Geoff Boyd is a native of Atlanta, Ga., but currently trains at the International Tennis Academy in Del Ray Beach, FL. Boyd is ranked #2 in the South and #13 nationally in the Boys' 18's. One of Boyd's most impressive accomplishment was advancing to quarterfinals of the Boys' 18 Super Nationals in Kalamazoo, MI, in August.
"This is one of the top recruiting classes we've signed here at North Carolina. Jonathan is the top player in North Carolina and Geoff is one of the best players in the nation," says Coach Sam Paul.
