CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The 51st-ranked University of North Carolina men's tennis team will play host to two nationally-ranked foes this weekend in matches to be played at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on the UNC campus.
Saturday, the Tar Heels (2-0) will take on the 20th-ranked University of Texas Longhorns (4-0) at the Tennis Center. The match will mark the return of Texas assistant coach Trey Phillips to Chapel Hill. Phillips served as UNC head coach Sam Paul's chief assistant last year.
On Sunday, the Heels will host the 66th-rated Boilermakers of Purdue (1-2).
Both matches are slated for 1 p.m. starts. Admission is free. Carolina has started its 2000 season in great fashion by scoring successive 7-0 wins over Campbell last Saturday and Furman this past Tuesday night.
