What former Carolina baseball player later played second base for the
New York Yankees?
The correct answer is:
George "Snuffy" Stirnweiss. Stirnweiss was a
standout at second base for the Yankees who combined with Phil Rizzuto to give
the Yankees one of the best double-play combinations in the Major Leagues.
Stirnweiss was also a fine football player at UNC.
