CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--Freshman Austin Garrison was named Sunday to the All-Tournament Team at the 2000 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Tournament.

A freshman from New Canaan, Conn., Garrison had the finest day yet in his two-month long Carolina career as he scored five goals on just six shots in UNC's 17-16 double overtime loss to #1-ranked Virginia last Friday night. Garrison entered the ACC semifinal game with the Cavaliers with eight goals scored in the first 11 games of his Carolina career.

Garrison is currently the fourth leading scorer on the 2000 UNC lacrosse team. He has 13 goals and six assists for 19 points.

The 7-5 Tar Heels will next play this coming Saturday at 12 p.m. against Hofstra in Hempstead, N.Y.
