Duffy And Wambach’s Career Days Pace MLAX Over No. 3 Harvard, 17-7

SEVERN, Md. – The fifth-ranked North Carolina men's lacrosse team led wire-to-wire, defeating previously unbeaten and No. 3 Harvard, 17-7.
With the win, the Tar Heels are 9-1 on the campaign entering conference play next weekend.
How It Happened
• The Tar Heels led by two after the opening 15 minutes, 3-1, as Owen Duffy posted two goals and Dominic Pietramala hit the back of the net for Carolina.
• Carolina posted seven second-quarter goals, taking a 10-3 lead into halftime.
• In the second, Duffy posted a pair of goals, and five different Tar Heels each scored once.
• Each team posted three goals in the third, pushing the Tar Heel advantage to 13-6 entering the fourth.
• In the fourth, Carolina outscored the Crimson by three, 4-1, securing the 10-goal victory.
Tar Heel Performances
• Duffy led all players with seven goals on the day, followed by Pietramala's hat trick.
• Mason Szewczyk added a pair of goals and an assist.
• Brady Wambach went 22-25 at the faceoff X, posting 12 ground balls.
• Peter Thomann recorded a game-high three caused turnovers.
