Pedretti Named ACC Women's Outdoor Track And Field Rookie Of The Year

Chapel Hill, N.C. - UNC's Jill Pedretti was named the ACC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Rookie of the Year after an outstanding performance at the ACC Championships in Durham last weekend. Pedretti, a native of Verona, Wis., won the conference discus championship with a mark of 170-1 and earned All-ACC honors in the hammer with a third-place finish and a throw of 166-3. She also took fourth in both the shot put (45-3 3/4) and the javelin (133-1).
