Adam Greenberg Named Freshman All-America

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- UNC's Adam Greenberg was named to Baseball America's Freshman All-America first team today. Greenberg has also already been named to Collegiate Baseball's Freshman All-America team and he was the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year.
Greenberg led the Tar Heels in batting average (.386), hits (98), runs (69), triples (7), stolen bases (28) and slugging percentage (.594). He also led Carolina, which finished the 2000 season 46-17, with 34 multi-hit games and had a team-high 21-game hitting streak earlier in the year. His seven triples tied for the second most ever in a single-season at Carolina, as did his 98 hits.
