Carolina Football Fan Appreciation Day Set For Sunday, August 20

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- Head coach Carl Torbush and the 2000 University of North Carolina football team will host Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, August 20th from 3-4:15 p.m. at Kenan Stadium. Coach Torbush, his staff and the entire Tar Heel squad, will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.
The Hall of Honor, which features several interactive exhibits located on the ground floor of the Frank H. Kenan Football Center, will be open for fans to visit from 2 to 3 p.m. Gates 5, 6 and 7 on the press box side (UNC bench side) will open at 2:30 p.m. for fans to enter the stadium.
Players and coaches will be introduced to the crowd at 3 p.m. Players and coaches will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans until 4:15 p.m. Carolina football trading cards, posters and bags of peanuts will be given free of charge to fans entering the stadium, balloons will be given to children, t-shirts and miniature footballs will be thrown into the crowd by the players and there will be special prize contests throughout the day.
Concession stands and restroom facilities will be open. Parking is available in the Ramshead Lot (off Ridge Road) and the Bell Tower Lot (off Raleigh Road).
