Wagstaff, Greenwood Earn ACC Player of the Week Honors

James Wagstaff, a 6-3, 348-pound senior from Charlotte, N.C., was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Line Player of the Week for his efforts in the Tar Heels' 30-9 victory over Tulsa on Saturday evening. Junior Billy-Dee Greenwood also earned ACC accolades as the conference's Defensive Back Player of the Week.
Wagstaff graded out at 89 percent and had six knockdown blocks, one key block and one great effort against the Golden Hurricane. He lead an offensive line that amassed 415 yards of offense, including 173 yards rushing and 242 yards passing.
Greenwood, a 6-2, 185-pound safety from Norwalk, Conn., was seemingly everywhere in the Tar Heel victory. He led the team with 14 tackles, including three solo and 11 assists. He also broke up two passes.
The Player-of-the-Week honors were the first for either player.
Other ACC Players of the Week include Clemson QB Woody Dantzler (Offensive Back), Clemson ILB Chad Carson (Defensive Line), Wake Forest KR John Stone (Specialist) and NC State QB Phillip Rivers (Rookie).
