Durant Earns Rookie Of The Week Honors

CHAPEL HILL - For the second consecutive week, University of North Carolina quarterback Darian Durant has earned Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honors.
Darian Durant, a freshman from Florence, S.C., went 10 of 14 for 128 passing yards and two touchdowns in leading the Tar Heels past intrastate rival NC State 17-9. Durant also rushed nine times for 46 yards without being sacked, and he quarterbacked North Carolina on all three of its scoring drives. Durant's two touchdown passes both went to wide receiver Kory Bailey
Durant also won the award last week following his performance against Florida State.
