Ethan Albright
Center/Washington Redskins
ehind the passing of Tony Banks, the Redskins have strung together a winning streak. After defeating the Panthers last Sunday, the Skins beat the New York Giants this week 35-21.
Dre Bly
Cornerback/St. Louis Rams
ly did not figure in the Rams' 34-31 loss to the New Orleans Saints, their first loss of the season, until the final play when he came around the left end to block what would have been the game winning field goal. Bly was whistled for offsides however, and the Saints re-kicked and won the game.
Na Brown
Wide Receiver/Philadelphia Eagles
rown and the Eagles struggled on Sunday, getting beat on both sides of the ball by the Oakland Raiders. Brown had two receptions in the 20-10 loss, bringing his season totals to seven catches for 95 yards.
Alge Crumpler
Tight End/Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons had a bye this week and will face New England next Sunday. Crumpler has established himself as one of the top tight ends in the NFC. On the year he has 11 catches for 195 yards and a touchdown, an average of 17.7 yards per catch.
Russell Davis
Defensive Tackle/Arizona Cardinals
Davis recorded two tackles and a sack on Sunday, but the Cardinals couldn't get any offense going in a 17-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Through five games, Davis has 24 tackles and a sack.
Kevin Donnalley
Offensive Guard/Carolina Panthers
In one of the ugliest games of the year, Chris Weinke and the Panthers offense had a tough time moving the ball all day against the New York Jets. The Panthers lost the game 13-12.
Deon Dyer
Fullback/Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins orchestrated a fourth quarter comeback behind Jay Fiedler and beat the Seahawks 24-20. Dyer, used primarily as a blocking back, has no stats in the season.
Ebenezer Ekuban
Defensive End/Dallas Cowboys
Ekuban and the Cowboys defeated the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, 17-3. Ekuban is recovering from an early season injury and has four tackles on the year.
Greg Ellis
Defensive End/Dallas Cowboys
Ellis had three tackles in the Cowboys' 17-3 win against the Cardinals. Ellis has 21 tackles and two sacks through six games for the Cowboys.
Bernardo Harris
Linebacker/Green Bay Packers
The Packers had a bye this week. Next Sunday they have a rematch against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Harris has 37 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble on the year.
William Henderson
Fullback/Green Bay Packers
The Packers had a bye this week. Next Sunday, in a big NFC Central matchup, they take on the Buccaneers. Henderson has 11 yards on six carries and 99 yards on nine catches through six games.
Jimmy Hitchcock
Cornerback/Carolina Panthers
Hitchcock and Panthers lost another close game, this time to the New York Jets, 13-12. Hitchcock had three tackles in the game bringing his total to 20 tackles with one interception on the year.
Sedrick Hodge
Linebacker/New Orleans Saints
Hodge saw little action in the Saints' 34-31 come from behind win over the previously unbeaten St. Louis Rams. The rookie has played in six games and has three tackles.
Vonnie Holliday
Defensive End/Green Bay Packers
Holliday and Packers had a bye this week and next Sunday take on Tampa Bay. This season Holliday has 19 tackles and three sacks.
Leon Johnson
Running Back/Chicago Bears
Johnson was recently added to Chicago's 53-man roster. He started his NFL career with the New York Jets.
Freddie Jones
Tight End/San Diego Chargers
Jones caught only two balls for five yards, but one of the catches was for a touchdown, helping propel the Chargers to a 27-24 win over the Bills. Jones has 16 catches for 166 yards thus far, with two touchdowns.
Marcus Jones
Defensive End/Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs, in a huge blowout, beat the Vikings on Sunday 41-14. Jones finished with one tackle, upping his season totals to 13 tackles and two sacks.
Randy Jordan
Fullback/Oakland Raiders
Jordan saw more action this week with the injury of Tyrone Wheatley, and he made the most of it. He carried the ball three times for 45 yards and helped the Raiders defeat the Eagles, 20-10. Through six games Jordan has 11 carries for 59 yards and four catches for 32 yards.
Eddie Mason
Linebacker/Washington Redskins
The Redskins won their second game of the year on Sunday, beating the Giants 35-21. Mason has four tackles on the season.
Mike Morton
Linebacker, Indianapolis Colts
Morton and the Colts beat the Kansas City Chiefs in a shootout on Thursday night,
35-28. Morton has one tackle through six games.
Keith Newman
Linebacker/Buffalo Bills
Newman and the Bills lost to the Chargers 27-24 as their last second field goal attempt was blocked. Newman had two tackles in the game and now has 17 tackles through six games.
Riddick Parker
Defensive Tackle/New England Patriots
Parker had one tackle in the Patriots' 31-20 loss to the Denver Broncos. This season he has nine tackles and a sack.
Mike Pringley
Defensive End/San Diego Chargers
Pringley saw little time on Sunday, as the Chargers beat the Buffalo Bills 27-24.
Jeff Saturday
Center, Indianapolis Colts
Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison hooked up once again and the Colts knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs, 35-28.
Brian Simmons
Linebacker/Cincinnati Bengals
ehind the running of Corey Dillon and the hitting of the Bengals defense, Cincinnati kept the Lions from registering their first win. Simmons was huge, recording four tackles, one and a half sacks and a forced fumble in the 31-27 win. His season totals are 32 tackles, three and a half sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.
Thomas Smith
Cornerback/Indianapolis Colts
Smith and the Colts defense held Trent Green in check for much of the game, as the Colts beat the Chiefs 35-28. Smith tallied two tackles in the game and now has 10 on the year.
Brandon Spoon
Linebacker/Buffalo Bills
Spoon and the Bills defense had trouble containing Doug Flutie all day long, as the Bills fell to the Chargers 27-24. Spoon has seen his playing time increase lately and brought his season tackle total to 11.
Bracey Walker
Safety/Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs lost again on Thursday night, 35-28 to the Indianapolis Colts. Walker has one tackle for the 2001 season.
