Darian Durant's Single-Game Freshman Records Broken Against Wake Forest:

75-yard TD pass to Sam Aiken was both the longest pass and the longest touchdown pass by a UNC freshman. Ronald Curry held both previous records from his freshman season in 1998. Curry had a 70-yard pass at Wake Forest to Bosley Allen and a 69-yard touchdown pass to Na Brown at Stanford.

361 yards passing. Ronald Curry held the previous record with 304 yards at Stanford in 1998.

Four touchdown passes. The previous record was three touchdown passes by Chuck Sharp against South Carolina in 1978 and Durant last week against Georgia Tech.

24 completions. Ronald Curry held the previous high with 19 completions against Stanford in 1998.

Darian Durant's 361 yards passing are the most by a Tar Heel since Ronald Curry's 388 last year against Georgia Tech and are the fourth most of all-time. Chris Keldorf holds the UNC single-game passing record with 415 yards (TCU, 1997), followed by Mark Maye's 406 (Georgia Tech, 1987), Curry's 388 (Ga. Tech, 2000), and Durant's 361 today.

Darian Durant's 347 yards of total offense were the most by a Tar Heel since Ronald Curry's 400 last year against Georgia Tech. The total also ranks 8th all-time at UNC. Ronald Curry holds the freshman record for total offense in a game with 370 yards against Stanford in 1998.

Darian Durant now has 1,716 yards of total offense this season, breaking Ronald Curry's freshman record of 1,394 set in 1998.

The last time a Carolina player threw four touchdowns in a game was in 1997 by Chris Keldorf against Duke.

Carolina's 89-yard touchdown drive in the first quarter equals its longest scoring drive of the season. The Tar Heels also had an 89-yard TD drive against East Carolina.

Jeff Reed has connected on 58 straight extra points, breaking Clint Gwaltney's school record of 56 consecutive from 1988-91.

Carolina's 24 first-half points were its most in the first two quarters this season. UNC's previous high was 21 points in the first half at Clemson.

Sam Aiken's 108 yards receiving and 75-yard touchdown catch are both new career highs.
