Carolina's 560 yards of offense were the most by the Tar Heels since gaining 637 total yards against Ohio on Sept. 30, 1995.

With 217 passing yards today, Ronald Curry moved into first place all-time at Carolina with 4,871 passing yards. Jason Stanicek previously held the mark with 4,683 yards from 1991-94.

Ronald Curry moved into No. 1 all-time at UNC among quarterbacks with 13 career rushing touchdowns. Curry's 11-yard TD run in the second quarter gave UNC a 21-7 lead.

With three touchdown passes today, Ronald Curry is now tied for fourth in career TD passes at UNC with 26.

Sam Aiken had a career-high 156 receiving yards. His 156 yards are the 10th most in a single game in school history.

Sam Aiken has been on the receiving end of the three longest pass plays this season: 75-yard TD catch from Durant vs. Wake Forest, 72-yard TD catch from Curry today, 66-yard TD catch from Curry vs. Virginia.

Darian Durant now has 17 touchdown passes in 2001, the third highest single-season total in Carolina history. Chris Keldorf holds the record with 23 TD passes in 1996, while Matt Kupec threw 18 touchdowns in 1979.

Durant has 1,747 yards passing this season, 7th best in a single season at Carolina. He has 1,861 yards of total offense this season, 6th best in school history for a single season.

Kory Bailey has 40 catches on the season, his best for a single season at Carolina.

Jacque Lewis had a career-high 94 rushing yards. He also scored his first career touchdown on a 28-yard run in the third quarter.

The last time Carolina had more than 500 yards of total offense was in 1997 vs. Duke when the Tar Heels had 527. Carolina had 560 in today's win.

Today's game marks the first time the Tar Heels have scored 50 points against an ACC opponent in consecutive games (52 today, 59 last year). Carolina accomplished the feat two other times in its football history - 1935 and 1936 versus Virginia (prior to the start of the ACC), 1969 and 1970 versus VMI.

UNC assistant coach James Webster missed today's game with a hand injury suffered at the team hotel this morning. He cut his finger on a broken glass and was taken to UNC Hospitals where he was treated in the emergency room. He lost significant amounts of blood and will remain overnight in intensive care.
