The following is a look at how Carolina's 26 NFL players are faring through 13 weeks of the 2001 season. TarHeelBlue.com will bring you NFL updates each week throughout the NFL season.
Ethan Albright
Center/Washington Redskins
The Redskins turned the ball over twice in the Red Zone and Donovan McNabb handled the rest, as the Eagles defeated Washington, 20-6.
Dre Bly
Cornerback/St. Louis Rams
While the Rams are arguably the best team in the NFL, the Saints have had their number for the past few seasons. The two teams look to settle the score on Monday Night Football this week. Bly has 18 tackles, a forced fumble, four interceptions and two touchdowns on the year.
Na Brown
Wide Receiver/Philadelphia Eagles
rown and the Eagles beat the Washington Redskins on Sunday, 20-6. Brown did not catch any balls in the game but has seven catches for 95 yards through 13 games.
Alge Crumpler
Tight End/Atlanta Falcons
Although the Falcons' offensive performed well, they ran into a hungry Colts team, and Indy beat up on Atlanta to the tune of 41-27. Crumpler caught one ball for 15 yards and has 22 catches for 269 yards and two touchdowns for the season.
Russell Davis
Defensive Tackle/Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals had a tough time finding any rhythm as they lost to the New York Giants on Saturday, 17-13. Davis recorded one tackle and a sack, bringing him to 47 tackles and two sacks on the year.
Kevin Donnalley
Offensive Guard/Carolina Panthers
The Panthers had a bye this week. Next Sunday they take on St. Louis.
Deon Dyer
Fullback/Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins were beat soundly on both sides of the ball on Sunday, as they were blanked by the 49ers, 21-0. Dyer, used primarily as a blocking back, has no stats in the season.
Ebenezer Ekuban
Defensive End/Dallas Cowboys
Ekuban and the Cowboys were crushed by the Seattle Seahawks, 29-3. Ekuban is recovering from an early season injury and has four tackles on the year.
Greg Ellis
Defensive End/Dallas Cowboys
Ellis had six tackles in a 29-3 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. He has 57 tackles, six sacks and three forced fumbles through 13 games for the Cowboys.
Bernardo Harris
Linebacker/Green Bay Packers
The Packers lost to the suddenly potent Titans, 26-20. Harris had a big game with 10 tackles and a sack, and through 13 games, he now has 70 tackles, two and a half sacks, one interception and one forced fumble.
William Henderson
Fullback/Green Bay Packers
Henderson pulled in one ball for six yards in the Packers' 26-20 loss to Tennessee. Henderson has 11 yards on six carries and 174 yards on 16 catches through 13 games for the Pack.
Jimmy Hitchcock
Cornerback/Carolina Panthers
The Panthers had a break this week, but the vacation ends next Sunday against the Rams. Hitchcock has 42 tackles with two interceptions on the year.
Sedrick Hodge
Linebacker/New Orleans Saints
The Saints take on the Rams Monday night in a fierce NFC West showdown. Hodge has three tackles on the season.
Vonnie Holliday
Defensive End/Green Bay Packers
With a chance to wrap up a playoff birth, the Packers lost a close one to the Titans, 26-20. Holliday had his best game of the year, however, tallying 10 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. For the season Holliday has 53 tackles, including six sacks, and a forced fumble.
Leon Johnson
Running Back/Chicago Bears
Johnson remained the primary punt return man for the Bears in his team's 27-3 win over the Buccaneers. Johnson also had three carries for 11 yards in the game. On the season, he has 12 carries for 55 yards and two scores.
Freddie Jones
Tight End/San Diego Chargers
Jones pulled in one ball for 10 yards in the Chargers' 13-6 loss to the Raiders, their seventh loss in a row. Jones now has 27 catches for 315 yards thus far, with three touchdowns.
Marcus Jonesbr>
Defensive End/Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jones and the Bucs were hammered by Chicago in a key NFC Central showdown, 27-3. Jones had three tackles and a sack in the game and has 19 tackles and three sacks on the year.
Randy Jordan
Fullback/Oakland Raiders
Jordan, used primarily as a blocking back, did not figure in the Raiders' 13-6 win over the San Diego Chargers. Through 13 games, Jordan has 12 carries for 57 yards and seven catches for 57 yards.
Eddie Mason
Linebacker/Washington Redskins
The Redskins lost this week to the Eagles, 20-6, severely decreasing their chances for postseason play. Mason has four tackles on the season.
Mike Morton
Linebacker, Indianapolis Colts
Morton and the Colts showed they aren't throwing in the towel quite yet, as they pounded the Falcons 41-27.
Keith Newman
Linebacker/Buffalo Bills
Newman had six tackles on Sunday, in the Bills' heart-breaking overtime defeat to the Patriots. Newman now has 63 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble on the year.
Riddick Parker
Defensive Tackle/New England Patriots
Parker did not figure in the Patriots' 12-9 win over the Bills. This season he has 11 tackles and a sack.
Jeff Saturday
Center, Indianapolis Colts
The Colts kept their slim playoff hopes alive on Sunday, beating Atlanta, 41-27.
Brian Simmons
Linebacker/Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati suffered another close loss on Sunday, this one to the Jets, 15-14. With six tackles in the game, Simmons now has 70 tackles on the season, with five and a half sacks, an interception and two forced fumbles.
Brandon Spoon
Linebacker/Buffalo Bills
Spoon tallied five tackles on Sunday in a battle of field goals against New England. Buffalo ended up losing to the Patriots in overtime, 12-9. Spoon has 46 tackles, an interception and one score on the year.
Bracey Walker
Safety/Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs won for only the second time at home this year, beating the struggling Broncos, 26-23. Walker has one tackle this season.
