Q: Did you get a little nervous in the 7th inning?
Coach Fox: "I've told the team I'm more relaxed when we're behind than I am when we're ahead early. I think you have to be. I think when you're behind you have to relax and just let your players get you back in the game.
"When you're ahead I think you need to be a little over agressive. I don't think we laid down. We had a lot of zeroes up there (on the scoreboard), but we hit a lot of balls hard. We had a guy thrown out at the plate, we hit some bullets right at their third baseman. It wasn't like we quit offensively.
"We ran some pitchers out there, but Jason (King) just couldn't find the plate. You don't want to do that, walk the leadoff guy."
Q: What about Scott Mansack's performance today?
Coach Fox: "I thought Scott was very good today. We felt like he would be a gamer for us. We thought he wouldn't flinch when he pitched for us in a real game. I do think the six-run lead helped him to relax a little bit, but he gave us a quality performance for six innings, which is big."
Q: You've got a lot of pitching depth, but little experience. Is that going to make you more likely to run your relievers in and out?
Coach Fox: "We did with Jason today. He looked like he couldn't find the plate, and we didn't want them to rally, so we pulled him. We probably could have pitched Whitley Benson in the last inning, but we want to save him for tomorrow.
"Yea, we do keep running them out there. We've got two guys, Matt Tanner and Dennis Robinson, that haven't pitched for us yet, and they won't tomorrow. They're not eligible until we go to Alabama, so that will give us even more depth."
Q: Do you know what your rotation will be in Mobile this weekend?
Coach Fox: "Scott Autrey wil throw on Friday, and our plans right now are to bring Scott Senatore back on Saturday against Auburn.
"Scott (Manshack) threw 89 pitches today, so we don't know if we'll bring him back on Sunday or not. We'll see how he feels about Thursday or so."
