Carolina's Retired Jerseys
#9 B.J. Surhoff
In addition to being named national Player of the Year in 1985, Surhoff is the only player in UNC history to earn first-team All-America honors in consecutive seasons. He won the 1985 Anthony J. McKevlin Award as the ACC's top athlete that year.
#22 Dave Lemonds
Lemonds was named national Player of the Year by The Sporting News in 1968 after compiling a 7-1 record with a 1.49 ERA. His jersey was officially retired in a ceremony prior to the Apr. 13, 1996 game versus Clemson.
