Carolina Gymnastics Hosts Eastern Michigan, Illinois-Chicago and Radford

CHAPEL HILL, NC--The University of North Carolina gymnastic team will host 29th ranked Illinois-Chicago, 31st ranked Eastern Michigan, and Radford on Sunday, March 4 at 1 p.m. in Carmichael Auditorium.
Carolina's record improved to 9-6 record after defeating William & Mary by a score of 195.075-191.575. Carolina tied their total team score, which they set at the NC State/Air Force meet. Carolina is ranked 37th nationally and fifth in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL).
At the William & Mary meet Junior Lisa Companioni set a personal best on floor with a 9.850 to finish first in the all-around with a 38.950. Carolina took the top four spots in the all-around with Senior Brooke Wilson placing second (38.875), Freshman Maddy Curley placing third (38.725) and Sophomore Fritzie Cathcart placing fourth (38.525).
Carolina gymnastics will be honoring Seniors Marianna Webster and Wilson Sunday during their last home meet.
Results will be available on TarHeelBlue.com Sunday evening. The Tar Heels next meet is Saturday, Mar. 10 against George Washington in the Charles E. Smith Center.
