Eight Carolina Gymnasts Named to 2001 EAGL All-Academic Team

CHAPEL HILL, NC - Eight members of the Carolina gymnastics team were named to the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) All-Academic team. There are 69 women from eight schools named to the EAGL All-Academic team. The EAGL All-Academic team is made up of all the EAGL gymnasts who have compiled a 3.0 GPA or better over the past two semesters.
Senior Brooke Wilson (3.57) and sophomores Anne Chaffee (3.87) and Natalie Halbach (3.02) were named to the EAGL All-Academic team for the second time in their careers at Carolina. The entire freshman class was named to the All-Academic team. Freshman Maddy Curley (3.89), Boo Donoho (3.58), Skylar Inman (3.10), Amanda Smith (3.01) and Joany Snider (3.54) are all members of the EAGL All-Academic team.
The UNC members of the EAGL All-Academic team and the other 61 members from the seven other schools will be honored at a banquet before the sixth annual EAGL Championships on Saturday, March 24 in the Dean E. Smith Center.
