Ronald Curry on the key difference from last game against Duke...
"They caught fire. They made a lot of shots and they played a heck of a game. They played a good game last game, but we turned the ball over and weren't hitting all of our shots. They just played a great game tonight."
Curry on the team in general...
"We're fine. We're confident, we're going to remain confident. It's a confident team, and we're just going to have to bounce back. We lost to a good team in Duke and we're just going to have to get things together. We have to take something positive away from [the game]. We're still regular season champs and we're just going to have to build from there."
Curry on Duke's ability to shoot threes...
"That's what they do all year. They've been shooting a lot and we knew they were going to shoot a lot with Boozer out. They weren't going to go down low and really have a post presence. We knew if they could get going, they would have five guys on the court sometimes that can hit threes."
Brendan Haywood on Duke's play...
"Casey Sanders and Matt Christensen did what they were supposed to. They came in there, they gave a lot of fouls and they hustled. That was their job. You have to give Duke credit, and a lot of it was their defense. Some of it was myself--I think one time I didn't go up as strong as I needed to. One time I think I maybe got hit on my arm, but those things you have to play through and put in the back of your mind and get ready for another game."
Haywood on the loss...
"I think you want to think about a loss a little bit longer [than the win over Duke]. You want to put it in the back of your mind and go past it but at the same time you use that as motivation. You learn from your mistakes. A loss you want to look at just a little bit longer because there is something that you did wrong and you have to correct that."
Jason Capel on Carolina and Duke's game plans...
"They were playing really small. For us to be able to try and defend them, being that we were down by some points, we had to go smaller and try to make things happen. It wasn't our game plan, but some games you have to change the game plan in the middle of the game. You have to give Duke a lot of credit. They shot the ball very well and played well as a team."
Capel on Duke's play without Carlos Boozer...
"When a team loses one of their top players, everybody is going to rally around him. To me that just gave guys even more confidence to shoot the ball. They didn't have to worry about throwing the ball inside. They were just really sticking to their game plan, which is shoot threes. They did and they shot the ball well. It's tough to defend when you're shooting the ball 25 feet or whatever from the basket. I think losing Boozer emotionally and everything helped them a lot."
