CHAPEL HILL, NC - North Carolina Senior Brooke Wilson has been named Co-East Atlantic Gymnast League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week. Wilson led the Tar Heels to victory (194.900) in their last home meet of the 2001 season. Wilson finished first in the all-around competition setting a school record with a score of 39.500. Wilson placed first on bars (9.850), balance beam and floor (9.925).

Wilson has now received the EAGL Gymnast of the Week seven times during her four years at UNC and thee time during the 2001 season. Wilson also was Co-winner of the 2000 EAGL Gymnast of the Year Award. Her most recent selection was the week of Feb. 6th after she scored the first perfect 10 in Carolina gymnastics history and the first of the 2001 EAGL season. Wilson holds UNC school records on bars (9.925), beam (10.0), floor (9.975) and all-around (39.500).
