Pinchbeck Posts 1-1 Record At All-America Tourney

Pacific Palisades, Calif. - Senior Kate Pinchbeck advanced to the Round of 16 in the Riviera/ITA Women's All-America Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Pinchbeck, the No. 7 seed, defeated Lauren Barnikow of Stanford 6-4, 6-1 in the opening round of the tournament at the Riviera Tennis Club on Thursday.
Pinchbeck, a native of Edmondson Park, Australia, then moved on to the Round of 16, where she faced Lindsay Dawaf of Florida. Dawaf defeated Pinchbeck 6-3, 6-4.
Senior Marlene Mejia defeated Dea Sumantri of Washington, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the qualifying round of the tournament, but was then ousted by Alexis Gordon of Florida. Gordon defeated Mejia 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
