Women’s Tennis Continues Strong Showing At Regionals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's tennis competed in the main draw round of 32 for doubles and singles in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regionals Saturday at Chewning Tennis Center. Carolina got the day started with three more doubles wins. Each pair will now advance to the round of 16.
In singles, four out of the five Tar Heels competing secured wins to advance to the main draw round of 16. Carolina's singles wins came from Theadora Rabman, Alanis Hamilton, Alana Boyce, and Oby Kajuru.

ITA Regionals
University of North Carolina women's tennis is set to host the Carolina region of the ITA Regional Championships from Oct. 16-21. The Tar Heels will welcome athletes from over 20 universities to compete at the Chewning Tennis Center this weekend.
ITA Regionals will take place at 13 different regions/sites across the country. Regionals is also an opportunity for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Doubles and Singles Championships. This tournament will qualify the two singles finalists from each region while only the doubles champion at each site will qualify for the NCAA Championships.
