Plenty of publications offer preseason women's basketball polls, and all of them agree that North Carolina should be ranked among the nation's top 25 teams. After that, however, the agreement stops. The Tar Heels have been ranked anywhere from ninth to 17th.

WomensCollegeHoops.com studied eight preseason polls and combined the results to product a composite, which had UNC ranked 12th.
