ACC LIVE, Fox Sports Net's weekly signature program profiling the Atlantic Coast Conference, continues on Monday,10/28 at 6:30 p.m. ET. The live, half-hour show originates from FSN's Atlanta studio, with Mike Hogewood hosting.
The show continues to spotlight a different ACC school each week, with Monday's episode focusing upon North Carolina.
ACC LIVE features second-year head football coach John Bunting. Bunting won more games (eight) in his first season at North Carolina than any other first-year coach in school history, while his overall record in six years as a head coach is an impressive 48-24-2. Despite last year's season starting 0-3, Bunting refused to accept defeat. He asked his players how much they loved football, and reminded them about the opportunity they had to win their next game against Florida State and make school history. What evolved, of course, was a 41-9 demolition of the Seminoles, ranking among the most storied victories in Tar Heel history.
And, in the wake of this year's 2-5 start, Bunting again went to the well of impassioned pleas, and this week told the Charlotte Observer, "Sometimes I get concerned that we don't have enough guys who think it's fun...yes, it can be drudgery at times. We're going to try to make sure we as a (coaching) staff set the tone for these guys."
Monday's show finds ACC LIVE reporter Jenn Hildreth in Chapel Hill to showcase the excitement of UNC's game day experience.
Each week, ACC LIVE profiles a legendary figure from the ACC - this year celebrating its 50th anniversary. Monday's focus is upon former North Carolina football star Don McCauley who is one of 18 players whose names and jersey numbers (No. 23) grace Kenan Stadium's upper deck fa?ade. McCauley was ACC Player of the Year as a junior and senior ('69-'70), and an All-American in '70. He was also the first of Carolina's NCAA-record 23 backs to rush for 1,000 yards, he led the nation in all-purpose yards as a senior, and his 126 points that year is still the league record. McCauley later enjoyed a lengthy professional career with the NFL Baltimore Colts.
ACC LIVE also has highlights from the Wake Forest at North Carolina men's soccer matchup.
Also on Monday's show - official BCS Standings, along with news and notes from all sports around the conference, including injury updates from the gridiron.
