Randy Jordan and the Oakland Raiders remained the only undefeated team in the NFL at 4-0 by defeating the Buffalo Bills 49-31. Jordan has recorded two rushes for 14 yards and a touchdown and has caught two passes for 19 yards on the season.
Meanwhile, rookie Julius Peppers continues to turn heads in Charlotte as he and the 3-2 Panthers have one of the top rated defenses in the league. Peppers has started in all five of the Panthers' games and has recorded three sacks. Since then, Peppers has consistently been double-teamed by opposing offenses that fear his pass rushing ability.
Jeff Saturday has started all four games for the Indianapolis Colts who have raced out to a 3-1 record on the season. On Sunday, Saturday and the Colts' offensive line protected Peyton Manning well and allowed the quarterback to complete 21 of 34 passes for two touchdowns and 224 yards.
Tight end Alge Crumpler has started in three of the Atlanta Falcons four games and has hauled in seven passes for 66 yards on the season. Crumpler caught a touchdown pass in the first week of the season.
