C.J. Stephens was 4-for-4 for 76 yards on the opening series of the game for Carolina, and his one-yard TD run to culminate the series was the first rushing touchdown of his career.
Sam Aiken had 10 catches for 102 yards. He became the fifth Tar Heel receiver to gain more than 2,000 receiving yards in his career.
Dexter Reid had nine tackles against Maryland and now has 120 on the season to set a new UNC record for tackles by a defensive back. The previous record was 118 by safety Billy-Dee Greenwood in 1999.
