CHAPEL HILL --The start of the 2003 women's lacrosse season is still over three months away, but preparations for the season at the University of North Carolina have already begun. The Tar Heels must replace six starters and their top four scorers from last year's Final Four team, including All-Americas Kellie Thompson, Christine McPike and Lindsay Stone and fellow departed senior starters Erin McInnes, Laurie Milback and Porter Wilkinson.
The Tar Heels will open their 2003 season in Chapel Hill on Sunday, February 23 against Davidson.
