Tar Heels in the NFL

In the second week of the season many of the 28 former Tar Heel players in the NFL had relatively quiet Sunday afternoons statisictically. Alge Crumpler hauled in three passes for 28 yards in the Atlanta Falcons 14-13 loss to Chicago and Dre Bly contributed six tackles in the St. Louis Rams 26-21 loss to the New York Giants.
However, Julius Peppers, the second overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft for the Carolina Panthers, made enough noise to suffice for the rest of his fellow alumni.
