UNC In Eighth Place At ACC/SEC Challenge

DESTIN, Fla. - The University of North Carolina women's golf team finished the second round on Saturday in eighth place with a two day total of 609 at the Chrysler ACC/SEC Challenge. Duke University leads in team standings at 590 and Auburn is one stroke off the pace at 591. Mississippi State University falls to third at 592 while the University of Florida and Florida State are tied for fourth at 597.
Elizabeth Janagelo of Duke continues to lead in individual scoring at three-under-par, 139 and Diana Ramage of Auburn follows in second at one-under-par, 141. Brandi Jackson of Furman is in third place at one- over-par, 143 while Beth Irwin and Sofie Andersson of Mississippi State, and Jeanne Cho of Florida are tied for fourth at 144.
UNC golfer Abby Spector leads the Tar Heels in individual scoring at seven-over par, 149. Other Tar Heel finishes include: Ashley Prange, tied for 24th at 149; Meaghan Francella is tied for 30th with an eleven-over par, 153; Meghan Adams is tied for 41st at 156 and Stacy Hilton is tied for 58th at 21-over-par, 163.
The 54-hole event is being played at the Sandestin Golf Resort, a par 71, 5,937-yard course.
