ACC LIVE, Fox Sports Net's weekly signature program profiling the Atlantic Coast Conference, airs Monday, 10/6 at 6:30 p.m. EDT (re-airs Tuesday, 10/7 at 12:30 a.m.). Mike Hogewood hosts the live, half-hour show - originating from FSN's Atlanta studio, where he is joined by reporter Jenn Hildreth.
On Monday's show, "ACC Flashback" spotlights North Carolina College Football Hall of Fame halfback Don McCauley. A member of the ACC's Golden Anniversary Team, a two-time ACC Player of the Year ('69,'70), and an All-American ('70), McCauley set a conference record (1,720 rushing yards during his senior campaign) that stood until '99, when Virginia's Thomas Jones eclipsed the mark by a mere 78 yards. McCauley led the nation in all-purpose yards in '70, and currently ranks fifth on UNC's career-rushing list. McCauley went on to enjoy an 11-year NFL stint as a running back for the then-Baltimore Colts, ranking in the league's top 10 in rushing touchdowns ('75-'77) and receptions ('77).
